Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed by US President Donald Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump at the Whitehouse on Monday. The two leaders exchanged greetings and hugged each other as a token of continued friendship between the two nations.

The two leaders later held a one-on-one meeting and discussed issues about the critical conditions in Afghanistan, Combat against Terrorism and strengthening ties between the two nations.

Modi also cordially invited Donald Trump and his family to visit India and give a chance to India also to host the US President. He said that “I would like to invite you to India, along with your family. And I hope that you will give me the opportunity to welcome you and host you in India.”

Modi also invited Trump’s daughter Ivanka to lead the US delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India later this year and Trump confirmed that she has accepted the invitation.
