The fourth day of Monsoon session began with another uproar in the Lok Sabha, with the house being adjourned for 20 minutes just after it started at 11 a.m.

As soon as the House assembled and took up the Question Hour, the opposition parties especially the Congress started raising slogans on the distress faced by the farmers and other issues, demanding an answer from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Trying to calm the oppositions, Parliamentary Affairs minister Ananth Kumar said that the Lok Sabha held long discussions till late night yesterday and had reached a conclusion for the problem, but the opposition was not ready to listen to anything and continued with the slogans.

To curb the situation, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had to forcefully adjourn the session till 11:30, just about ten minutes after it assembled at 11 AM.

The fourth day of the Monsoon session also marks as the day for the announcement of the results of Presidential elections, which were held on 17 July. The counting of the votes began in the presence of NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind, opposition candidate Meira Kumar and the observers of the Election Commission at 11 a.m. today.

The victory of Ram Nath Kovind is already known to everyone, people in his native village have started the preparations for the celebration of his victory. The results will soon be announced.
