With both the houses adjourning the session after a huge commotion created by the opposition parties on the second day of the Monsoon session, the third day was also expected to be stormy.

On the second day of the session, Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day, minutes after the noon when members of the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the Left parties and the RJD created uproar in both the houses. Rajya Sabha was also adjourned till 2 p.m. with no important business being discussed in the day.

The third day of the Monsoon session was likely to witness the aftershocks of the second-day with the major blast being the resignation of Mayawati and another major issued to be raised was the farmer’s protest. 2,000 farmers also gathered outside Jantar Mantar to condemn the anti-farmer policies of the BJP government and protest against the killing of six farmers in Madhya Pradesh in June. They were also protesting for their demand of raising the minimum support price (MSP) for all the farm products. The opposition was to raise this heated issue in the Parliament.

Earlier on Tuesday, three bills were introduced during the session in spite of all the chaoes but no business was discussed. Two new bills: Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education 2017 and The Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Bill, 2017 will be introduced on third-day for debate and discussion.

Other than this the opposition was seen holding placards protesting against the cow vigilance and transfer of honest officers like Roopa. The placards read Gau mata toh bahana hai, karz maafi se dhyan hatana hai(Cow protection is a tool to divert attention from farm loan waiver).
