Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), an organization that works for electoral reforms on Thursday claimed that affidavits of 108 candidates uploaded on their website are either not scanned properly or same pages of the affidavits are missing ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls.

Association for Democratic Reforms State Team in a letter dated November 22 told the Chief Electoral Officer of the State that Affidavits of around 108 candidates uploaded on their website are either not scanned properly or some pages are missing in some cases.

ADR also mentioned that the Supreme Court had made it compulsory for candidates to furnish information about their assets, financial, educational and criminal records. The apex court in 2013 also clarified that the affidavits can only provide a clear picture of the background of the candidate.
