Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is all set to bring a no-confidence motion in the monsoon session against the Central government led by Bharatiya Janta Party.

Since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014 into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Naidu’s party Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has demanded a special status for Andhra Pradesh. This will secure more funds for the state.

TDP which was a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) took back its support and ended the alliance in March 2018.  The reason for the withdrawal was the unmet promise of the Centre granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu has asked his party members to gather the support of all political parties except the national parties i.e. BJP and Congress. CM has been slammed by other regional parties for not fulfilling his promise of getting the special status for the state.

With assembly elections next year, Naidu seems to put all his efforts in order to execute his promise to the state.
