Former Congress leader Narayan Rane is progressing soon informing political equations in Maharashtra. Rane originally a Shiv Sena member who left the party to join Congress, following differences with Uddhav Thackeray, recently also quit from Congress and formed his new party  Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha.

The MSP, chief had during the launch of the party announced that he will be joining hands with BJP and as per his statement to the press, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Wednesday had invited Rane to join the NDA. He had asked for two days time to make his decision citing that he wanted to take his every step very carefully and calculatingly.

As per the latest updates, Rane on Friday in Sindhudurg announced that his party MSP will be joining the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

According to the sources, the ruling BJP will be appointing Rane to some ministry during the upcoming Maharashtra cabinet reshuffle. There are also speculations that during the meeting of Fadnavis and Rane, talks were held on what portfolio he was likely to get.

In his statement to the press, Rane said that BJP and the Maharashtra Chief Minister will decide as to what portfolio he is assigned. He also said that he will soon be making party appointments. Rane also touched upon the matter with Shiv Sena, he said that he does not oppose Shiv Sena, he is only against the ideology that the party follows. He added that he has still not decided who his political enemy was.
