Addressing a rally in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi challenged the opposition to prove his involvement in any corruption case during his term in office for more than two decades, first as the chief minister of Gujarat and then as a prime minister of the country.

While addressing the election rally on Tuesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi openly challenge the gathbandhan in Uttar Pradesh of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and said that “I challenge the opposition to show whether I have any undeclared assets, shopping complexes, farmhouses, or whether my money is trapped in foreign banks.” He asked the opposition to prove if he has any property in any foreign land, bungalows worth crores, or high-end cars worth lacs and crores of rupees.

He addresses the rally and said that people will vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to come into power in 2019 Lok Sabha elections and this itself will be a befitting reply to the opposition on his behalf.

Narendra Modi said that the “Mahamilavatis are asking about my caste. In my tenure of Chief Minister of Gujarat, that was more than the tenure of Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav, taken together collectively, I have never taken the support of caste in contesting the elections.”

Talking about caste Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he was born in an extremely backward community and has worked for the welfare of the nation. He said that caste has never been on his mind or in his consciousness and neither did he seek support in the name of caste.

He also said that SP and BSP workers have now started quarreling among themselves and the country is watching them with 6 phase of elections already having come to an end.

67 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh went to polls in six phases of Lok Sabha elections beginning from April 11 to May 12. The remaining 13 Lok Sabha seats for go to polls in the last phase of elections on May 19. Counting of the votes and the results will be announced on May 23.
