Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in an article published on Sunday in the party’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had offered a berth in his cabinet to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule.

In a signed article published in ‘Saamana’ edited by Sanjay Raut, he recalled an incident in which Sharad had admitted that Narendra Modi had offered a seat to his daughter. There were speculations that NCP is soon to join hands with BJP and during a meeting between Sharad Pawar and Sanjay Raut, Pawar had said that there is no truth to media reports. He described such reports as the height of stupidity.

Recalling the incident whit Modi Sharad described that the Prime Minister had once indicated that he wanted Supriya in his cabinet, to this Supriya who was also present during the meeting said that she would be the last person to join BJP. Sharad also reaffirmed that NCP’s stand on joining BJP was very clear and that all the talks were only rumors and nothing more than that.

However, unlike Sharad’s statements, there are other senior leaders of the party who are in touch with (Maharashtra) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Responding to this Sanjay Raut said that even if things are being cooked up behind closed doors Shiv Sena does not have any problems if NCP is planning to be a part of the Fadnavis cabinet and the chief minister is holding secret meetings with NCP leaders.

Meanwhile, trying to contact Sharad Pawar a close aide of Sharad said that the NCP Chief is currently in his home town Baramati and would reply to the Saamana article at an appropriate time.

Shiv Sena a few days back has expressed its distress that neither the party was officially informed about the reshuffle of the Modi Cabinet, nor the party was given any seat in the Council of Ministers.
