Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in his hometown Gujarat on Thursday where he will be attending four functions. It will be a one day trip to the state, reported PTI.

PM Modi is one of the seven trustees of the Somnath Temple trust. He will participate in the meeting of the Trustees tomorrow with BJP chief Amit Shah. The other trustees of the temple are Keshubhai Patel, who is also the chairman of the trust, BJP veteran leader L K Advani, businessman Harshvardhan Neotia and prominent scholar J D Parmar. The meeting will be held at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar, trust secretary P K Laheri was quoted as saying by PTI.

Laheri also said that all the seven trustees will be attending the 117th meeting of the trust, reported PTI.

PTI reported, “The prime minister will arrive in the morning and address a public meeting in Jujwa village near Valsad town, where he will attend the collective e-griha pravesh (online house warming) of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (gramin).”

The PM will “perform the ground-breaking ceremony” of a water supply project introduced for the tribal population in Dharampur and Kaprada districts, reported PTI.

He will further head to Junagadh, in Saurashtra for inaugurating the newly-built hospital of the Gujarat medical and education research society and two fisheries colleges at Veraval town in the Gir Somnath district. His trip to Junagadh will include addressing a gathering at Police Training College ground, reported PTI.

Before going for the meeting of the Somnath temple trust, PM Modi will grace the convocation ceremony of the Gujarat Forensic Science University in Gandhinagar with his presence.
