Intensifying its hunt for Lok Sabha Polls and State Polls in Odisha that slated to be clubbed, Biju Janta Dal Chief Naveen Patnaik on Friday declared another list of 18 Candidate for Odisha State Polls.

The Odisha ruling party in its first list announced Incumbent Chief Minister Patnaik will contest from Hinjili and Bijepur assembly constituencies.

BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik who has in a run-up to the general elections has already made it clear not to ally with anyone announced names on another 18 assembly constituencies in addition to 90 names already announced. The 18 names include:

  1. Maheswar Mohanty from Puri
  2. Bibhuti Balbantray from Jatani
  3. Debasish Samantray from Barabati-Cuttack
  4. Chandrasarthi Behera from Cuttack Sadar
  5. Reena Tanty from Rengali
  6. Golekh from Bihari Nayak from Jashipur
  7. Sudam Marandi from Bangriposi
  8. Amar Singh Tudu
  9. Srinath Soren from Udala
  10. Jiban Pradip Dash from Balasore
  11. Aswini Kumar Patra from Jaleswar
  12. Brundaban Das from Badasahi
  13. Sanjeev Mallik from Bhadrak
  14. Parshuram Dhada from Soro
  15. Amar Prasad Satpathy from Barachana
  16. Dhruva Sahoo from Rajanagar
  17. Sambit Routray from Paradeep
  18. Bishnu Das from Tirtol

BJD in a run-up to the polls will take on aggressive Bhartiya Janta Party and Congress who has inked an alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

The Counting of votes for the mega battle of ballots will take place on May 23, four days after last round of polling.

The Odisha State Polls will be clubbed with the General Elections 2019. The State will Poll in four rounds of Polling starting from April 11. The State has a total of 147 State Assembly while having 21 Lok Sabha Seats.

Currently, BJD has 117 lawmakers in the state assembly.
