Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party, an ally of Congress in Maharashtra on Saturday released a list of 40 Star Campaigners in a run-up to the General Elections 2019. The Central Parliamentary Board of Nationalist Congress Party has finalized the list of star campaigners for Maharashtra for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

The Parliamentary Board of the party named party Chief Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar, Supriya Sule among its star campaigners. Other names in the list include Jayant Patil, Sunil Tatkare, Jaydev Gaikwad among others.

The party has also named Shankarsinh Vaghela as its party’s star campaigner for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019. Former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shankersinh Vaghela early this year has joined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Nationalist Congress Party in a run up the Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has forged an alliance with the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress. As per the poll pact between both the parties, Congress will contest on 24 seats, NCP on 20. The remaining 4 seats as per the seal-pact will be shared with small allies including Bahujan Vikas Aghadi on 1 seat, Raju Shetty’s Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana on 2 seats, Yuva Swabhimani Paksha on 1 seat.

Nationalist Congress Party has already declared candidates on 17 Lok Sabha seats out of 20 allotted to them in a poll pact. Sharad Pawar-led party has fielded Parth Ajit Pawar from its traditional seat of Maval Lok Sabha seat, Supriya Sule from Baramati Parliamentary Seat, Sanjay Dina Patil from Mumbai North East, Anand Paranjpe from Thane, Sunil Tatkare from Raigad.

While its ally Congress have also started rolling out the list of Candidates for the mega battle of ballots. The NCP along with Congress will take on BJPShiv Sena Combine in the state that sends 48 parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha, second highest after Uttar Pradesh.

Lok Sabha Polls are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019. Results for the crucial Lok Sabha Polls will be announced on May 23, four days after the 7th phase of voting.

48 Parliamentary Seats of Maharashtra will go to polls in four phases starting from April 11, then on April 18, April 23, and April 29.
