As it inches closer to formation of a government with Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress party in Maharashtra, NCP has taken a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party’s national spokesperson and Mumbai NCP chief Nawab Malik said that the throne of Delhi has no power to make Maharashtra bow down before it.
He said, “Sharad Pawar has finally outwitted the so-called ‘Chanakya’ of Indian politics. The throne of Delhi could not make Maharashtra bow down before it. Jai Maharashtra.”
Nawab Malik’s dig aims to target Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah, who is often considered to be the mastermind of the party and credited for most of the poll victories. Shah, is also popularly known as the ‘Chanakya’ of Indian politics.
Maharashtra is just few inches closer to forming a government, with a few meetings left to decide the fate of the state. Congress and NCP since Monday have been having meetings and discussions on their alliance with Shiv Sena. The trio will announce their alliance with the cabinet birth formula and most importantly, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra soon.
