Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday while speaking in NDA rally in Patna assured to win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state for the state to bring back NDA in the power. Kumar while speaking in the Poll rally called to galvanize support from the state said, ‘People have turned up at the rally in very large numbers. The Lok Sabha polls are impending…I want to assure you (Modi) that we will win 40 out of 40 seats in Bihar. This is our resolve’ he said in Gandhi Maidan.

Kumar also congratulated Narendra Modi, Indian Army and Indian Air Force for effectively taking “action” against terror outfits and those promoting terrorism. He further lauded PM Modi for forcing Pakistan to release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

Apart from Nitish Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Ram Vilas Paswan, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Radha Mohan Singh were present at the rally besides a clutch of leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, BJP in-charge for Bihar Bhupendra Yadav and state BJP chief Nityanand Rai.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi salute the martyrs of Pulwama Terror Attack and the whole nation is standing with the families of the jawans. He added, ‘People of Bihar are very much aware of what all happened in the name of fodder. Only we have dared to end the culture of corruption and middlemen which had been a normal practice in the country for decades’.

Training guns towards Opposition for raising questions over Air Strikes, PM Modi said, ‘Now they have even started asking for proof of the . Why are Congress and its allies demoralizing our forces? Why are they giving statements which are benefiting our enemies?’

PM Modi, later during his speech, appreciated Nitish Kumar for his resolve to complete the construction of toilets by October 2. Earlier, people attending the rally started raising slogans as they were getting impatient to hear the Prime Minister.

While Rashtriya Janta Dal‘s Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav took a jibe at the turnout at the rally. Prasad whose Twitter handle is operated by his close aides, while he is himself at Ranchi serving sentences in fodder scam cases, came out with a couple of tweets on the Sankalp Rally which served as the first occasion for the prime minister to share the stage with the RJD supremo’s arch-rival Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Narendra Modi, Nitish and Paswan exerted themselves for months, even used the government machinery to ensure a handsome turnout at Gandhi Maidan. The number of people who gathered there was about the same that I get flanked by whenever I stop my car at a paan ki gumti (betel shop). Try harder gentlemen, get the cameras zoomed (in) a bit more,” Yadav said mockingly in his first tweet.

“The great public of Bihar, which always upholds justice, cut them down to size. When a man watches his plan fail, he can utter any type of falsehood, come up with all sorts of jumlas. The possibility of a defeat in Bihar has so badly shaken confidence that a speech teleprompter has been installed even though the address is being made in Hindi,” the RJD supremo said in another tweet with the hashtag #BiharRejectsModi.

The National Democratic Alliance in Bihar comprises – Bhartiya Janta Party, Janta Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party. As per arrangements, both BJP-JD(U) to field its candidates on 17 each while 6 seats alloted to LJP.
