While Narendra Modi addressed his rally in Varanasi, BJP bastion, yesterday ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said in his statement that National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will get a three-fourth majority in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections and the nation will have Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.

Rajnath Singh said, “The NDA shall get a three-fourth majority in the country in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.”

The Varanasi rally witnessed thousands of people in the crowd in the roadshow conducted by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Anupriya Patel, the Apna Dal (S) convener and Union Minister of state, said that “The NDA is coming to power again and undoubtedly under the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi.” She said the way the people greeted and welcome Narendra Modi on streets of Varanasi represented the encouragement in the people to see Narendra Modi as their next Prime Minister. She claimed that the NDA will break all records in the Uttar Pradesh.

The External affairs minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj told the Asian News International (ANI) that the people of Varanasi are very lucky to cast their vote directly to the Prime Minister. she said, “the people of Varanasi are lucky enough to choose their Prime Minister while the people of other constituencies will vote for their MPs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination today for the ongoing Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Congress has fielded Ajay Rai from the Varanasi constituency.

There has been speculation of Priyanka Gandhi fighting the election from Varanasi before Congress fielded its candidate on April 25 for the constituency.

Varanasi is set to go to polls in the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 19. the results for the elections will be announced on May 23.
