While addressing a special session to commemorate All India Management Association’s (AIMA) diamond jubilee year, President Pranab Mukherjee said that there is an urgent need for management education in India to train the youth to become Entrepreneurs.

Mukherjee showed his concern saying that adequate job creation is not being done. Around 10 million people are entering the market every year in search for job but are disheartened as there are no adequate jobs for them. As a solution to this fast growing problem Mukherjee suggested that more number of youths should be encouraged to start small business and start ups generating jobs for the seekers.

He emphasised on the need for developing management and entrepreneurial skills in the country. He further added that India has the largest number of youth and working forces and that the country needs its young people to start more businesses and create more employment opportunities instead of looking for jobs.

He also pointed out the growth of India saying that India was one of the poorest countries of the world for more than a half century (1900-1950), but today India is one of the fastest growing emerging economies in the world.

Concluding, he urged to convert the youth forces and the working forces into productive employment, creating jobs for the seekers and providing employment to them.
