Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Stalwart Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday assumed office as Minister of Road, Transport, and Highways and also took the charge of Ministry of Micro, small and medium Enterprises (MSME). While Pratap Chandra Sarangi also took the charge as the Minister of State (MoS) for MSME.

Gadkari held the same portfolio of Road, Transport, and Highways in during Narendra Modi’s previous government. This will Nitin Gadkari’s second consecutive term as the Union Minister.

Officials presented Bouquets to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Stalwart as he stepped in Office.

‘Took over as Ministry of Road Transport and Ministry of Micro, small and medium industries. With infrastructure construction under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, it is our priority to increase the country’s growth rate and employment’, said Nitin Gadkari in a tweet.

Speaking to media soon after taking charge as Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari affirmed the confidence of creating employment opportunities.

Underlining the importance of financial reforms, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways played a crucial role in determining the financial reforms so to Job Opportunities.

He added ‘Being the minister of MSME, I will work towards increasing the growth rate of the country. While Small Scale Industries will have a need to be further expanded.

Nitin Gadkari who had in his first term worked length and breadth of the country, is now aimed to plant at least 125 crore Trees along the roadside. In his first stint as the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari worked tirelessly to construct around 26KM per day during 2014-2019.

Nitin Gadkari in his second term aimed to construct almost 40 KMs per day covering both the Urban and Rural Infrastructure.

While earlier on Monday, many BJP Senior Leaders including Harsh VardhanSmriti Irani, and Ravi Shankar Prasad assumed office as the Union Ministers. Irani took over charge as the minister of Women and Child Development while Harsh Vardhan assumed Office as Minister of Health and Family Welfare.

All 57 ministers were administrated oath by President Ram Nath Kovind on May 30 at Rashtrapati Bhawan. On all 24 Cabinet Ministers, 9 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 24 Ministers of State took the oath on Thursday.
