Monsoon showed less of its strength this time. It rained lesser than recorded in last 30 years, said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a meeting held to review the probability of flood and drought in the different parts of the state. He told the senior officers at division and district level to prepare relief and rehabilitation plans. This meeting included Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Anjani Kumar Singh. Meeting held a discussion on the steps need to be taken in order to support people in the situation of the flood which is common in many parts of the state.

Driver boat training has been made compulsory and subsidy on diesel and accidental crop insurance is taken into account. Information was also provided regarding medicines that would be needed by people and animals during the situation of flood or drought by the health and animal husbandry department. Discussions were made on even a minute details of the events. This included video calls to other officials and a day long meeting with all the state ministers.
