With Lok Sabha Elections 2019  around the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi who often visit foreigns regularly has decided not to take any abroad trip for the next four months. Prime Minister Narendra would like to focus on local issues and will pitch the campaign for its party to retain power.

The upcoming Lok Sabha Elections will not be a calk walk for the Narendra Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party as the Opposition joining forces to defeat the saffron party. Anti-incumbency factor, farmer Distress and a host of other issues which the opposition parties have been raking up are some things for which the BJP needs to worry about.

Moreover, there are no major events in the coming months, at least not any that require the PM’s participation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited 22 countries in 2018, nine more compared to 2017. In 2017, he had visited 13 countries, including eight state visits. Last year, the number of countries were six less compared to 2016. As of December 2018, PM Modi has made 41 foreign trips on six continents, visiting 59 countries including the visits to the USA to attend UN general assembly, to Asian countries, following his neighbourhood first and act east policies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018 has made major visits to – World Economic Forum in Davos, Informal Summit and SCO summit in China, 10th BRICS summit in South Africa, BIMSTEC summit in Nepal, East Asia Summit in Singapore and G-20 summit in Argentina.

Moreover, The Bhartiya Janta Party has started chalking out its strategies for the Lok Sabha Mega Battle. Party Chief Amit Shah on Wednesday appointed in-charges and co in-charges in 17 states to look after party’s affairs in a run-up to Lok Sabha Polls.

BJP recently has also announced its seat-sharing deal in Bihar with JDU and LJP.
