No fixing can be completed in Delhi according to existing law, Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said today, while referring to corrections in the Master Plan, and communicated worry that the Center and the Delhi government were not appropriately taking care of the issue.

The Congress pioneer has kept in touch with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Urban Affairs serve Hardeep Singh Puri, offering to impart to them what he feels could be an answer for stop the progressing fixing drive.

In his letters to Kejriwal and Puri, Maken guaranteed that as per the changed Master Plan and the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second Act, 2011, no fixing can be completed in Delhi.

“Being a previous Union Urban Development serve, I can state with certainty that to spare Delhi from fixing, numerous changes had just been made in the Master Plan 2021,” he said in the letters.

Maken was Union Minister of State for Urban Development in Manmohan Singh government amid 2006-2007.

He additionally communicated worry that both the Center and Delhi government were not appropriately “taking care of” the fixing issue.
