Ending all the political discussions about naming him as the next Presidential candidate, Mohan Bhagwat rubbished all such news and said that there is no truth in such reports and he is happy with his current role and not interested in becoming the president.
Pranab Mukherjee’s term as the President of India is coming to an end and since last few days, political parties have started internal discussions about who should be their candidate for Presidential elections. In one such move, Shiv Sena had openly announced that they would support if Mohan Bhagwat is the presidential candidate.
Refusal by Mohan Bhagwat now means that NDA government will have to name someone other than him, however, Mohan Bhagwat’s name was never openly supported by the leading party, BJP. BJP has always been inclined about making LK Advani as the president and once again, the speculations have increased that LK Advani will be the next candidate for President from NDA camp.
