Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that if the BJP is so confident of majority in the valley, it should announce the elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar’s comment came after the BJP President Amit Shah said that Jammu and Kashmir people have faith in their party and will gain a majority in Assembly elections.

National Conference working president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hits out at BJP saying that if they believe their majority in the state then why the assertion is not put to the test and elections are delayed.

Omar took to microblogging site on Friday and tweeted  “If you are so confident of the support BJP enjoys why not announce the elections & let’s put this assertion to the test?

In previous elections, BJP was in coalition with PDP after all parties were unable to prove majority in the state. Both the parties later withdrew support to each other, after conflicts over some issues.
