Opposition Attacks BJP MP Pragya Thakur Over ‘Godse’ Remark

The opposition parties have mounted scathing attack on Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Bhopal, Pragya Thakur over her ‘unrecorded’ remark in Lok Sabha – “Nathuram Godse is a patriot”.

Former Congress President and MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi said, “What she is saying, that is the heart of the RSS & BJP, what can I say? It cannot be hidden. I don’t need to waste my time demanding action against that woman.”

The Congress party along with Trinamool Congress and Indian Union Muslim League, have given Adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha over Pragya Thakur‘s reported reference to Nathuram Godse as ‘deshbhakt’ in the lower house.

Pragya Thakur made the comment after interrupting DMK MP A Raja who was referring to a statement by Godse on why he killed Mahatma Gandhi while discussing Special Protection Group (Amendment) Bill. However, the entire discussion is not on ‘record’.
