PM Modi trudged into political waters after accepting the fitness challenge given to him by cricketer Virat Kohli on Thursday, with different leaders of the Opposition asking him to accept the challenges of the likes of reducing the rocketing fuel prices, no violence against minorities and such.

The challenge was started by Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore asking people to take up the fitness challenge by posting their videos working out on Twitter. He nominated Saina Nehwal, Hritik Roshan and Virat Kohli for the same.

Accepting the challenge, Virat Kohli nominated PM Narendra Modi to take up the challenge to which Modi replied in the positive.

This gave the Opposition leaders a chance to take digs at him citing the other challenges that the Modi government is facing. Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to ask him to reduce fuel prices else the Congress would stage a nationwide agitation under the hashtag FuelChallenge.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav too seized the opportunity to challenge Modi to fulfill his promise of providing jobs to the young, relief to farmers and that of no violence against Dalits and minorities.

Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha went overboard to challenge him to post pictures of his degrees and qualification while himself doing the same.

However, the Bollywood and the Sports fraternity seemed to be enjoying the challenge and had their time to post videos and photos of their workout while appreciating the I&B Minister’s efforts to create awareness about health amongst the public.
