The opposition party’s candidate for the Presidential Polls, Meira Kumar is on a tour across India for her election campaign. Currently, she was on a three-day tour to Bihar to seek support for her candidature.

On Saturday, the last day of her visit to the state, while addressing the media at Sadaqat Ashram, the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Patna, Meira Kumar said that for her it was a fight for ideology. “Yeh vichardhara ki ladai hai, mere liye yehi hai.”

She said that it is an age old tradition in India, that people followed their own religion at the same time respected the religions followed by other also. She also spoke about Bihar being birthplace and that she was proud of it. Talking about the opposition she said that the unity of the opposition parties was based on ideology and ideas, which they all shared.

Kumar also reiterated her plea she made earlier, to listen to the inner voice and vote for the Presidential candidate.

Meira Kumar will be heading to Ranchi as her next stop for the campaign.
