Lauding the pilots of the Indian Air Force after air strikes on Pakistan, Gandhi tweeted, “I salute the pilots of the IAF.”

While TMC Supremo and West Bengal Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday hailed the Indian Air Force (IAF) for carrying out air strikes in Pakistan. “IAF also means India’s Amazing Fighters. Jai Hind,” Banerjee tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a rally in Rajasthan assured that Country is safe. He said, ‘It is such a moment that we should salute our Bravehearts, bow to them. I assure you that the nation is in safe hands,” PM Modi told a gathering of ex-servicemen in Rajasthan. “I won’t let this country down,” said PM Modi recalling that he had pledged to protect the country’s best interests back when he came to office in 2014.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar Tuesday also lauded the IAF saying the entire nation stands firmly behind the armed forces. “It was a necessary step required for the security of the country … it was an act of maha parakram (mightily act),” he said as quoted by PTI.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already given a free hand to the forces to take necessary action against the backdrop of the Pulwama terror Attack that left 40 CRPF personnel dead.

While Bhartiya Janta Party President Amit Shah congratulated the IAF. Shah, in a tweet said, ‘I congratulate and salute the bravery and valour of our armed forces. Today’s action further demonstrates that India is safe and secure under the strong & decisive leadership of PM @narendramodi’.

He added, ‘Today’s strong action shows the will and resolve of a New India. Our New India will not spare any acts of terror and their perpetrators and patrons’.

Congress leader and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh hailed it as a great job by the Indian Air Force. “The IAF strikes have sent the much-needed signal to Pakistan and the terrorists it’s harbouring – don’t think you can get away with acts like the Pulwama Attack. Bravo to the IAF men and my full support for the action,” he said.

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacting on the Air Strikes said, ‘Was expecting this sort of response within 2-3 days after Pulwama blast. Welcome this. We stand with govt. Though Foreign Secy called it non-military action, it’s a step I was expecting govt will take a long time back. I hope govt will now go after Masood Azhar & Hafiz Saeed‘.

Congratulating the Air Force, Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, ‘We’ve always said that whatever action the forces take for the protection of this nation, all of us will support them in unity, they are taking action against the terrorists in Pakistan. I congratulate them’.

BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav said, ‘Every Indian who had the pain and anguish of the martyrdom of our forces is greatly relieved and delighted this morning. Salute to the Air Force for a meticulous operation. Our forces are world class anyway. It is the political will of our PM and team that made all the difference’.

Indian Air Force in the early hours of Tuesday carried out aerial Strikes destroying major Terror Camps in Pakistan. Sources as quoted news agency ANI claimed that ‘Balakot, Chakothi, and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the LOC completely destroyed in IAF air strikes. JeM control rooms also destroyed’.

However, in the Official Press Conference, Vijay Gokhale said that Balakot Terror Launch Pad was destroyed by the IAF’s Operation. In an intelligence lead operation in the early hours today, India struck the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. In this operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commander & Jihadis were eliminated’ He said.

Indian Air Force sources claimed that ’12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LOC, completely destroying it’. Sources further claimed that aerial strikes were carried at early hours at around 03:30 on Tuesday.

1000 Kg bombs were dropped on terror camps across the LoC, sources further claimed.

The development comes amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan after the February 14 suicide attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group that killed 40 CRPF soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
