The turnout of events in AIADMK do not seem to be getting over anytime soon. Just after we thought that the dramatic events ended with Sasikala going to jail and EK Palanisamy taking oath as the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Panneerselvam’s camp in AIADMK expelled Sasikala and two of her relatives from the party for going against the party rules and guidelines.

The move was announced by E Madusudanan, who was presidium chairman of AIADMK till Sasikala removed him from the post. His statement said that Sasikala had violated her promise made to Jayalalithaa in which she had told not to enter politics and also that she never had an inclination to hold any position in party or the government.

In the statement, E Madusudanan also asked the party members not to associate with Sasikala and two other expelled relatives of her. It further added that along with breaking her promise made to Amma, Sasikala has also faced criminal charges and brought disrespect to the party.

Along with Sasikala, the two other members expelled from the party were AIADMK Deputy General Secretary T T V Dinakaran and S Venkatesh. The statement read that both the members were removed by Jayalalithaa for betraying her in 2011 and their inclusion in the party came without any authority.
