A Day after Patna High Court dismissed the petition filed by RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav challenging the Bihar government’s order to vacate the bungalow allocated to him, the Court on Tuesday served notice to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and all formers Chief Minister of the state. The Court sought a reply within a time of 4 weeks on why the former Chief Ministers of the state can’t live in the private accommodations despite provided high security.

A bench headed by Justice SP Shahi, while hearing the matter, directed the state government to reply to the issue within four weeks. Patna High Court’s move came after a PIL filed by JDU Chief and current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other former CMs of the state over the issue of allocations of bungalows.

Earlier on Monday, the Patna High Court Divisional Bench dismissed the petition filed by RJDLeader Tejashwi Yadav challenging the Bihar government’s order to vacate the bungalow allocated to him when he was the Deputy Chief Minister in the state.

Bihar Former Deputy Chief Minister Yadav had moved to the Court against the single judge order of October 6 which asked him to change his accommodation with his successor. [Sushil Kumar Modi]. A two-judge bench of Patna High Court rejected his appeal on the matter today.

Tejashwi Yadav who is the current Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly still lives in the bungalow 5, Desratan Marg,  that was allocated to him in 2015 when he was the Deputy Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar government had asked the Leader of Opposition, Yadav to swap his current Bungalow with the current Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, who lives in 1, Polo Road, situated about a kilometre away.

RJD Leader Yadav has first written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in September last year, asking the CM that he be allowed to continue living in the Bungalow situated at Desratan Marg.
