Gearing up for the Lok Sabha Polls 2019, Actor-turned-Politician Pawan Kalyan‘s Jana Sena Party has finalised candidates for 4 parliamentary seats and 32 Assembly seats in the Andhra Pradesh. The Lok Sabha Polls and State Polls in Andhra Pradesh will be held simultaneously as the tenure of the State Assembly is slated to end.

Jana Sana Party who had in 2014 supported Bhartiya Janta Party and the then ally of NDA Telugu Desam Party, had taken a call this time to contest on all seats.

Andhra Pradesh has a total of 25 Lok Sabha Seats while has 175 Seats in its state Assembly. The party that has been allotted a ‘tumbler’ symbol by the Poll body will take on Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in the coming Elections. The Sena Party is expected to stitch an alliance with left parties of the state – CPI and CPM.

Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019. Polling of all 543 Seats will take place in 7 phases starting from April 11. Results for the crucial Lok Sabha Polls will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

Andhra Pradesh will vote in a single phase on all 25 Lok Sabha Seats on April 11 for both State and Lok Sabha.
