PM Modi, Amit Shah walk in to meet party veterans LK Advani, MM Joshi after massive mandate

A day after registering a massive victory in the national polls 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah on Friday called on Party’s Stalwarts LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi to celebrate the massive mandate.

After meeting party’s veterans, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to praise them for their contributions towards the party.

‘Called on respected Advani Ji. The BJP’s successes today are possible because greats like him spent decades building the party and providing a fresh ideological narrative to the people’, tweeted PM Modi sharing the picture of meeting with LK Advani.

“Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi is a scholar and intellectual par excellence. His contribution towards improving Indian education is remarkable. He has always worked to strengthen the BJP and mentor several Karyakartas, including me. Met him this morning and sought his blessings”, tweeted PM Modi after meeting with Murli Manohar Joshi.

Both Advani and Joshi were not given ticket by the party in the recently concluded national polls. LK Advani was replaced with BJP President Amit Shah from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Seat while MM Joshi was replaced by Satyadev Pachauri from Kanpur Lok Sabha Seat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party in the latest polls has secured 303 seats, 22 more than it got in the 2014 elections. BJP along with its allies, the NDA took it’s tally up to 352 seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. While Congress continued its poor performance and improved its tally marginally by 8 to reach 52 seats in this 2019 national polls.
