Intensifying its effort to retain power at Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Amit Shah will be addressing eight election rallies in Haryana, that sends 10 parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha.

As per the schedule, PM Narendra Modi will address three rallies on May 8 and May 10. The 10 Lok Sabha Seats of the seat will go to polls on May 12, the sixth phase of national polls.

PM Modi who will visit Haryana on May 8, will address poll rallies in Fatehabad and Kurukshetra on the same day. While on May 10, the last day of campaigning, he will address a rally on Rohtak District of the state.

In Fatehabad Assembly segment that falls under Sirsa Parliamentary seat, BJP nominee Sunita Duggal is taking on Congress State Chief Ashok Tanwar. While JJP-AAP has named Poonam Chand Ratti and INLD named Charanjit Singh Roori – the sitting MP from Sirsa Lok Sabha Seat.

While In Kurukshetra, BJP’s Nayab Singh Saini is taking on INLD’s Arjun Chautala who is making an electoral debut. Congress has named Nirmal Singh for the Lok Sabha Seat. AAP-JJP has named former Zila Parishad member Jai Bhagwan Sharma alias DD Sharma from Kurukshetra.

In Rohtak parliamentary where PM Modi is slated to address a rally on May 10, BJP has named Arvind Sharma to take on Congress Stalwart Deepender Singh Hooda. JJP-AAP combine has named Pradeep Deshwal, while INLD nominated Dharamveer Fauji.

Apart from PM Modi rallies, Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Amit Shah will address three poll rallies on May 5 in Sonipat, Panipat and Yamunanagar. While on May 10, Shah will be addressing rallies in Hisar and Dadri, which is part of Bhiwani-Mahendergarh Lok Sabha constituency.

Jannayaka Janata Party (JJP) Chief Dushyant Chautala is seeking another term from Hisar parliamentary seat. Dushyant Chautala is the grandson of former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala.

In Sonipat Lok Sabha seat, BJP has named Ramesh Chander Kaushik against Former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Digvijay Chautala is also seeking a term from Sonepat seat from JJP.

In a run-up to the national elections 2019, BJP is taking on Congress, INLD and JJP who has forged an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party. Haryana has a total of 10 Parliamentary seats and is considered a state where BJP has a stronghold. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won 7, INLD bagged 2 seats while INC won a single seat.

Haryana will vote on May 12 in a single phase to elect new parliamentarians on all 10 seats of the state.

Counting of the votes will be held on May 23.
