The PM Modi said that Kovind’s journey, whether as a lawyer or as a political person, had always been non-controversial and even the presidential poll campaign was that way, at a meeting of the NDA MPs which was also attended by Kovind and Modi. Here, PM Modi congratulated NDA nominee Ram Nath Kovind and gave him his best wishes. He also gave him an assurance of his government’s support, a day before the election to the top constitutional post.

There they recalled that the former Bihar governor had worked as a ‘sahyogi’ (aide) of Morarji Desai when he was the prime minister and said this government will offer all ‘sahyog’ (cooperation) to him.

Quoting Modi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said the prime minister also offered his congratulations in advance to the Dalit leader.

The way ahead is very clear for Ram Nath Kovind as the ruling coalition has secured the support of nearly two-thirds of the electoral college, with some political parties even outside the NDA are supporting him.

2018 will mark the enrollment of “new millennial voters”, those born in 2000.

A proper voting presentation was present to make sure that voting is done correctly.
