Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday while addressing a Public rally in a bid to retain another term in the Office; asserted that ‘Only Full Majority’ government at the Centre could take ‘tough and strong” decisions while remaining “answerable to the public”. His comments come in the backdrop when many Opinions polls have suggested a setback to Bhartiya Janta Party-led NDA, predicting hard for the Saffron party touching the half-way mark in the Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

His comments also came in the backdrop of Opposition parties making attempts to forge an alliance to take on the Bhartiya Janta Party in the upcoming general elections to the Lok sabha.

He said, reportedly, ‘For 20 years, there was instability. There was no majority government. There used to be alliance governments. The growth of the country had come to a halt. But now we are progressing. We are taking tough and major decisions with full conviction.

While hailing his government, PM said, ‘Terrorists attacked Mumbai, what happened after it? In our goverment, Uri happened, what happened after it? This is the change. The fire that was in the hearts of our jawaans, it was in the heart of the PM too, Surgical Strike was the result.’

While Modi spoke on the advantages of Full majority government, Shah takes on disadvantages of Coalition Government. Earlier, While addressing a rally in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah BJP National President take a jibe at ‘UP Ke Ladke’ saying in 2017 Assembly Polls in the state, similarly there was an alliance in the state but BJP workers have crushed them. He also attacked ‘Mahagathbandhan’ and said, there will be a new prime minister every day if an alliance of Opposition parties comes to power in the national elections. “They are out to bring a change and do not have a leader.

Amit Shah had earlier said, Mahagathbandhan is all about corruption, caste. He asserted that his party would win 74 this time from the state. In 2014, BJP had secured victory on 73 seats, while Congress managed to only retain its home turf in — Amethi and Rae Bareli. Samajwadi Party won 5.

However, the Survey conducted by ABP-News predicted that NDA is set to lose heavily in Uttar Pradesh. BJP – who had in 2014 won 73 out of 80 seats – is now heaving its upper hand in just 25 seats of the state. While new BSP-SP alliance likely to dash all the hopes of BJP. The poll predicted BSP-SP would win 51 seats in the state if elections happen today. While Congress could manage to bag 4 seats in the state. ABP News-Cvoter Opinion poll predicts set back for BJP in LS Polls; NDA to get 233, UPA 167
