Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Bihar on April 20 to campaign for his party Candidate Pradip Kumar Singh from Araria Parliamentary Seat. Earlier PM Modi in a run-up to the Phase-I of the General elections had addressed three rallies, all of them for its allies in the state.

Informing about PM Modi’s visit Bharatiya Janata Party State Vice President Devesh Kumar said that PM Modi will address six-seven rallies and public meetings for the remaining phases of Polls in Bihar, He will address a rally on April 20 to galvanize support for party Candidate Pradeep Kumar Singh.

Earlier to this, In a run-up to the mega polls 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed three rallies seeking support for Nitish Kumar‘s JD(U) and Ram Vilash Paswan’s LJP.

BJP in Bihar has forged an alliance with JDU and LJP with BJP and JD(U) contesting on 17 seats each while LJP been offered 6 Seats in the state. The NDA is taking on Congress and RLD’s alliance in the state.

BJP in a run-up to the polls has named Pradeek Kumar despite he lost to RJD‘s Mohd Tasleemuddin in 2014 and later from to Sarfaraz Alam in 2018 by-elections.

PM Modi apart from Arari is expected to throw more weight on seats like Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Valmiki Nagar and Buxar as well.

While another BJP State functionary claimed that ‘The PM would be addressing 10-12 meetings in Bihar’.

The Darbhanga Parliamentary seat is important for the saffron outfit as it has named a new face in Gopalji Thakur, to take on RJD’s Abdul Bari Siddiqui. Bharatiya Janata Party outgoing MP from Darbhanga Kirti Azad has joined Congress recently and has been fielded from Jharkhand’s Dhanbad for the mega game of ballots.

Arari Lok Sabha Seat will go to polls on April 23 while Darbhanga will vote on April 29 to elect a new MP.

General Elections have already begun and polls 2019 would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

Results for the crucial Lok Sabha Polls will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

Bihar’s 40 parliamentary seats will go to polls in seven phases starting from April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.

The four seats of Bihar including Jamui voted on April 11 as part of Phase-I Voting.
