Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again on a two-day tour to his home state. He will begin his Gujarat tour on Saturday by first visiting the temple in Dwarka.

Recently Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi also hit the soon to be the poll-bound state, Gujarat starting his journey by visiting the temple in Dwarka. Though the dates are not finalized yet, but the political parties are on the run to get the support of as many as possible. While BJP is announcing new projects and schemes for further development of the state, the Congress is listing down the failures of the BJP government. Gujarat will be holding the assembly polls in Dec this year.

Modi will reach the Surat airport by Saturday afternoon at 2:30. He will then head for the inauguration of the ONGC plant in Dahej. The Prime minister will then in the evening inaugurate the bridge at Bharuch and address the gathering. On Sunday morning Modi will leave for Diu from the Ahmedabad airport. He will be offering his prayers at the Somnath Temple and then leave for Gandhinagar. There will be addressing the All India Mahila Sarpanch and will leave for Delhi in the evening.

During his two day visit, Modi will lay the foundation for several projects. He will also be visiting his hometown Vadnagar for the first time since he assumed office as the Prime Minister in 2014.

In Dwarka, Modi will lay the foundation for the construction of a signature bridge on thick wires between Dwarka and Okha, on the National Highway-51. The Project cost of this bridge is 962 crores. Modi will also lay the foundation for four national highway projects costing Rs 5,825 crore in Gujarat during his visit. He will also be addressing a gathering in Dwarka.

Among the projects that will be laid during this time, the 116.24 kilometers long Porbandar-Dwarka block of National Highway-51 will be made four-lane, 93.56 kms of National Highway-51 at Gadu-Porbandar section of NH-51 at a cost of Rs 370 crore will be provided by 2/4 lane Construction and construction of six lanes of Ahmedabad-Rajkot section of 201.31-km long National Highway-47 and National Highway-27, at a cost of 2893 crore. Modi will also address a gathering in Dwarka.

From Dwarka, Modi will be visiting Chaoutila in Surendranagar district, where he will lay the foundation stone of Rajkot’s Greenfield Airport, six-lane Ahmedabad-Rajkot National Highway and four-lane Rajkot-Morbi state road. The statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office read that the Modi government will also be dedicating the dairy processing and packaging plants and drinking water supply pipelines in Surendranagar’s Zorarnagar and Ratanpur areas to the state. Here also Modi will address a gathering.

Thereafter, Modi will leave for Gandhinagar, where he will inaugurate the new building of IIT-Gandhinagar and the Prime Minister will initiate Rural Digital Literacy Campaign. The aim of this campaign is to make people digitally literate in the rural areas.

As per his schedule, the Prime Minister will visit his hometown Vadnagar on Sunday and begin the Indradhanush campaign. Under this campaign, all the children who are not yet immunised or incompletely immunised will be vaccinated. Modi aims to achieve 100% vaccination of all the children across India by Diwali. He also plans to distribute tablets to the health workers.

Later on Sunday afternoon, the Prime Minister will then leave for Bharuch and lay the foundation for the construction of a new barrage on the Narmada river there. He will also be showing the green flag to the Antyodaya Express running between Udhna and Jaynagar (Bihar).

Huge preparations are being done to welcome the Prime Minister at his hometown Vadnagar, as this will be his first visit since he became the PM. According to the sources, the preparation to receive the PM are in full swing, even the trees at the railway stations are being washed with the help of fire brigades. Before leaving for Delhi, he will also be addressing a gathering here.
