The Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Congress turf Amethi on February 27 has been canceled, officials said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a BJP leader said the Prime Minister was likely to visit the ordnance factory in Munshiganj here and later address a public meeting on February 27. However, according to District Magistrate RM Mishra, the proposed visit has now been canceled.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Amethi which was proposed on February 27 has been canceled,” the DM said as quoted by PTI.
To take on the SP-BSP Alliance in Uttar Pradesh, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its campaign in the state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by lining up a number of events involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party National President Amit Shah to reach its voter base in the state that sends 80 Parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha.
If reports published in various sections of media to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah will address many public rallies in the next couple of weeks.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had on Feb 19 inaugurated many Developmental projects The prime minister will return to UP on February 24 to address a session of BJP Kisan Morcha’s National Convention in Gorakhpur. The convention would be inaugurated by Shah a day earlier. Gorakhpur, a bastion of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, was won by SP-BSP in the 2018 Lok Sabha by-elections.
Amit Shah who was in UP to take a holy dip in Kumbh will also slate to back in Uttar Pradesh. He is also likely to visit address party workers in eastern UP on February 26 in either Ghazipur or Ballia, the report quotes a BJP leader as saying.
