On Saturday , at the Raj Bhawan in the state ,Jagdish Mukhi was sworn-in as the Governor of Mizoram.
He is also the current Governor of Assam and has to discharge duty as Mizoram’s Governor too, in addition to his duty.

Justice Nelson Sailo, the judge of Gauhati High Court,administered the oath ceremony of office to Jagdish Mukhi.
This decision came after the previous Governor of Mizoram, Kummanam Rajasekharan resigned on Thursday.
His resignation was accepted by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, who appointed Jagdish Mukhi to take additional charge of the state of Mizoram.
