Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in her debut Election rally in Gujarat lashes out on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government and urged the people to vote responsibly in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
It is the first time that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a rally since she assumed the charge as Congress General Secretary for Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the rally on PM Modi’s home turf, Gujarat, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the people should start asking questions to the leaders who made them big promises in the past.
She enquired,”Where are the 2 crore jobs? What happened to the Rs 15 lakh in every bank account promised by the PM?”
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that she feels agonised about the present atmosphere in the country, which is infused with hatred and is being spread all over the country.
Also added that the ‘institutions’ of our country have been demolished but it is in the hands of the people to wipe out the winds of hatred and turn it into love and harmony.
Priyanka asked the people to be aware, as it is the best form of ‘nationalism’, she said.
Also asserted that the power to vote, is the weapon that everyone possess.
She also asserted that the people of the country will have to think what exactly is this election for and what are they going to choose in this election?
Priyanka added, “You are going to choose your future. Useless issues should not be raised”.
Talking about the issues that concern the nation, Priyanka said “Issues which should be raised must comprise as to what is most important for you&how can you move forward.”
She asked,How will youth get jobs? how will women feel safe? what will be done for farmers?” These are the issues for elections, she added.
Attacking the BJP and PM Modi, Priyanka said, “We do not need to pay any heed to frivolous issues, rather, we have to think about what will be done on women security, youths and farmers’ concerns.”
She added, “Your vote is such a weapon that it does not hurt anyone but it will make you stronger. You have to think deep and responsibly on who you are going to elect in this Lok Sabha election.”
Also, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that this country has been developed by the farmers in it.
She asserted,”My sisters ,who worked hard from dawn to dusk, my brothers have made this country. Nobody else has made this country. All of us should realise our responsibility.”
The Congress GS of Eastern UP termed the present situation as the “second freedom movement” and further said that voting will be our prime responsibility to step forward, for development of this country.
In the same rally, Congress President Rahul Gandhi also attacked the BJP and said that the country is witnessing a struggle between two different ideologies.

“Mahatma Gandhi and Gujarat have made this country and today, some other elements are destroying the fabric of this country,” he said.
Attacking the BJP over the concern on unemployment, Rahul Gandhi said that the youths of this country are roaming from one region to another, in pursuit of employment.

Also said that BJP is providing benefit to the ‘suit-boot’. Added that the farmer, labourer and youth will get demonetisation.
