Karnataka government has organised a 3-day long DR. B.R. Ambedkar International Conference at Bengaluru while speaking at the inauguration of the conference Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of adopting a Dictatorship full attitude.
He said that the BJP government at the center wants to suppress the voice of the country and the opposition will not tolerate this at any cost. He further added that the government is slowly taking possession of the democratic system of the country one by one with its well-planned strategy and is rejecting the policies of our Constitution. Disguising behind the name of Ambedkar, Rahul targetted Modi saying that the purpose of the Modi-led BJP government is to weaken our constitution which was given to us by ‘Babasaheb’.
Describing the attacks on Dalits and minorities as a collusion of RSS and Modi, he said that the Modi government is following on Hitler’s footsteps. He further added that Hitler always believed to be aware of the reality so that if required you can have control over it. Likewise, Modi ruling at the centre is also following the same ideology and RSS is helping the Modi government in this.
Rahul also added that since ancient times, the powerful class has worked to suppress the voices of the weak. Giving the example of the times of English rule he said that powerful Englishmen had suppressed the voices of millions of Indians under their own strength and even the ruling government is doing the same with the backward class. But the government should not forget that it is these depressed classes only which threw the British Empire out of India.
Other than Rahul Gandhi, Noble Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, former MP Prakash Ambedkar, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Martin Luther King – III were present for the conference.
