In a bid to make a comeback at Centre, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday kicked off his party’s campaign in Uttarakhand, once a stronghold of the party in a run-up the General Elections 2019. While addressing a rally in Dehradun, Congress President reiterated his promise about minimum income guarantee to every poor if his party voted to power in the April-May due elections.

Congress President said if his party voted to power, we will introduce a scheme that will provide a minimum income guarantee to every poor family.

Earlier in January, while Addressing a rally in Chhattisgarh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi pitched for announced that his party would ensure minimum income guarantee for every poor in the country if it returns to power after the Lok Sabha polls due in April-May.

Congress President in his address also trained guns towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly shooting for a documentary during Pulwama Terror Attack that claimed lives of almost 40 CRPF Personnel. Rahul said everyone knows what our Prime Minister was doing when Pulwama Attack Happened. He was shooting for a Documentary for National Geographic in Corbett National Park.

He further intensifying his attack on PM Modi also raised Rafale Issue. He claimed PM Modi of bypassing the process to benefit his corporate ‘Friend’ Anil Ambani. He reiterated his jibe at PM Modi with ‘Chowkidar hor Hai’.

While Congress in day catch big in the rally with BJP Leader and Former CM BC Khanduri’s Son Manish Khanduri joined trucks with Congress in a run-up to the General Elections.

However, the Congress has not yet declared the candidates for the five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand, Sources claimed that Congress is planning to field Manish Khanduri from Pauri Garhwal seat.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

Counting of votes for the crucial battle of ballots will be announced n May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting. Polling in 5 seats of Uttarakhand will take place on April 11.
