Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, without naming him for being silent on the Jay Shah case.

BJP Party President Amit Shah‘s son Jay Shah has been in the headlines for a few day now. The Wire had published a report a few days back, which claimed that Jay Shah’s company’s turnover increased 16,000 times in a year after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014.

Amit Shah and his son Jay Shah has denied all the allegations saying that his company was perfectly legitimate and legal. However, Rahul Gandhi has not left a single opportunity ungrabbed where could mention the issued of Jay Shah’s company or the silence of the Prime Minister.

Recently on Friday, without naming the Prime Minister, a tweet was posted from an account run by Rahul Gandhi’s office. The tweet accused Narendra Modi of maintaining silence over Shah’s company and also silencing other also who are criticising.

Modi’s one of the famous slogans that he uses frequently uses is, “Na khaoonga, na khane doonga (Will not indulge in corruption nor allow others to indulge in it)”. Taking a dig at the Prime Minister the tweet read “Na bolunga na bolne dunga, (neither I will speak, nor let anyone else speak.

Rahul also attached the news report about The Wire being barred from writing on Jay Shah to protect his “right to live with dignity” along with his tweet. The BJP often refers to Rahul as the “Yuvraj” for his belonging to the first family of the Congress and is considered heir apparent to the post of party chief. Therefore Rahul also addressed Jay Shah as the “Shah-Zada”.

Counter attacking the tweets of Rahul Gandhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani tweeted back “A person out on bail mocks the courts.” Her tweet was directed both at Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, regarding the bail they got in Dec 2015 in the National Herald case of cheating and misappropriation.

She also attacked the Congress saying that no matter whatever the party tries, it will still lose the upcoming Gujarat assembly polls. Gujarat will be facing the assembly polls before 18 Dec this year, and both BJP and COngress are on their toes trying to pull down the other and win the polls.

Rahul Gandhi has ben attacking the BJP over Jay Shah’s matter on every possible platform that he gets. The party has also sought an inquiry into the issue by sitting Supreme Court judges.
