The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Monday released the third list containing 61 names out of which seventeen  were earlier named in the first and second list. In the first list, the party named 11 candidates while second list of candidates were announced on November 9 which contained 6 names.  The candidates were announced for constituencies mostly in eastern Rajasthan and districts with large SC and ST populations.

On November 9, the party had released its second list of 6 candidates naming Kishan Chand Sharma, Ramhet Kushwaha, Lakshman Singh Chaudhary, Vijay Shankar Bohra, Sunil Kumar Jatav and Ghayas Ahmad Khan. The party has not yet named candidates from the constituencies of Sadlupur and Khetri where it has its two sitting MLAs. The names of those MLAs have also not been announced yet.

In the state, there are 34 Scheduled Castes and 25 Scheduled Tribe seats out of the total 200 seats. In the last assembly elections, the party had contested in 195 constituencies and won two seats. In 2003 elections, the BSP had contested on 124 constituencies and won two seats.

The party had till now won a maximum of 6 seats in 2008 elections and the vote share increased to 7.60 per cent. However, that victory was short-lived as all the six BSP MLAs joined the Congress and supported the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government.

The election commission has released the notification for the December 7 assembly election in the state.
