Election Commission (EC) is working hard to ensure an increase in the voting percentage this time by taking a lot of measures. Working on the line of EC, the district election department in Udaipur is organizing various awareness programmes which encourage people to come out and exercise their voting right. The state will go to polls on December 7.

The department is organizing rangoli competitions in schools and colleges while using festivals to generate awareness. There are also wall graffiti being painted to encourage people to cast their votes. A painting of the Statue of Democracy, made on the wall of RSMM near Madhuban Chauraha is drawing a lot of attention of the residents.

Earlier too, the state election department of Rajasthan decided to provide transport facility to differently-abled voters. The EC had issued the directive to all the state chief electoral officers to provide pick and transport facility to the differently-abled people as it realized that lack of proper facilities act as a hindrance to many voters. This initiative was taken to enhance the easy accessibility of polling booths by specially-abled people.

The state will go to polls on December 7.
