Political heat in Rajasthan has become increasingly intense as the upcoming Assembly elections in the state are days away. Senior Congress leader and former chief minister, Ashok Gehlot, addressed a public gathering in favor of Congress candidates in rural part of Jodhpur-Phalodi, Lohawat, Bhopalgarh and Pipad. During the address, Gehlot said that he has no craving for a post but his only intention is to serve the public.

Starting with Phalodi, where he reached in a helicopter on Thursday morning, he addressed a public meeting in support of Congress Candidate Mahesh Vyas at Major Shaitan Singh Stadium.

Gehlot said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi has given the youth an opportunity by giving them a chance to fight elections from many constituencies. He mocks PM Narendra Modi for his statement, “70 years have been given to the Congress, give me 50 days. If the situation of the country does not change, then hang me at an intersection.” And said that today every intersection in the country is waiting for Modi.

Gehlot also attacked BJP for misusing Social Media. He further said that BJP is failed in every front from Employment to women security in the state. He said that the BJP has stopped many projects of Congress government, but we will not stop any BJP’s plans even after winning.

Gehlot later met the local Congress workers in Lohawat Vidhan Sabha and hold a rally in support of Congress Candidate from Bhopaalgarh, Bhawarlal Balai in Bavdi in the afternoon. Before returning to Jodhpur city, he held a meeting in the Pipar city.

The Indian National Congress who is making every efforts to trump the saffron brigade in the state won an only single seat in Jodhpur district that sends 10 Lawmakers to the state assembly, while BJP bagged other nine.

The State will Poll on December 7 to elect a new assembly in the state. The counting of votes will take place on December 11.
