An ‘all women’ polling booths are going to be set up in each constituency in the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. These polling booths will be managed only by women. This measure is taken by the by the chief electoral office of Rajasthan to empower women.

On these polling booths, all the work will be handled by women. More such polling booths can be set up in the times ahead.

Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Anand Kumar has said ‘all women’ booths are part of innovative steps taken by the commission. He further said, “On these booths, women will look after the complete election process, including security.

AS of now, there is just one such polling booth set up in each constituency. But the District collectors have been told to set up more ‘all women booths’ in the areas where more women employees are available.

This time the Election commission is also going to keep a check on any violation of MCC. The EC has rolled out a ‘cVIGIL’ which the citizens can use to report any violation of Model Code of Conduct.

The state will conduct polls on December 7.
