After the nomination of Ram Nath Kovind as the NDA candidate and Meira Kumar as the Opposition candidate for the Presidential Polls due on 17 July, both the leaders have started with their election campaigns. Kovind began his campaign from Uttar Pradesh and Kumar began from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.
Meira Kumar and Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting Hyderabad, on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Kumar is scheduled to meet Congress leaders at Gandhi Bhavan, Telangana Congress headquarters, followed by a media conference. She will also garland a statue of her father late Jagjivan Ram and interact with MPs, MLAs and MLCs, Left party leaders.
Following the visit of Kumar, Kovind will be in Hyderabad on Tuesday. As per his campaign schedule he will be meeting MPs and MLAs of the ruling TRS, opposition BJP and Telangana TDP.
