NDA candidate for the President election, Ram Nath Kovind is visiting the Telugu states on Tuesday for his election Campaign. His opponent, Meira Kumar had just visited Hyderabad, a day ahead of him.
Leaders of the BJP, TRS, TDP and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) welcomed Kovind at the airport. Central Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP’s Telangana unit chief K. Laxman, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mehmood Ali, Ministers N. Narasimha Reddy and Harish Rao were present there.
As per the schedule, Kovind will be meeting the BJP leaders first at the Haritha Plaza hotel, followed by a meeting with leaders of YSRCP and than he will meet the leaders of the ruling party of TRS. All these parties have already extended their support to the NDA candidate.
For his welcome the TRS party workers have erected huge hordings on the streets holding the pictures of Ram Nath Kovind along with Chandrasekhar Rao.
Later Kovind will leave for Vijaywada to meet the TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders.
