TDP Boss and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday told his Telangana counterpart, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, that his Telegu Desam Party (TDP) is ready to take on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) if the later has any plans to contest in the Andhra Pradesh Polls slated for next year.

Chandrababu Naidu while speaking at a function in Vishakhapatnam on Friday said that he will not be cowed down by KCR’s threats. ‘ I am ready to accept whatever the gift that comes from him (KCR)’ he added.

Naidu, whose party, TDP had contested the Telangana Assembly Polls as a part of a Congress-led alliance, ‘People’s Front’ or ‘Parjakutami’, also said that he had never worked against the interests of Telangana while reacting to KCR, as the Telangana chief minister is popularly called, labeling him as a “traitor” to Telangana.

TDP Chief Naidu also asserted that TDP has never run away from threats since its inception. He also accused Narendra Modi of instigating KCR to work against the interest of Andhra Pradesh.

K Chandrashekhar after his Landslide Victory on Tuesday said, ‘When Chandrababu from the neighboring Andhra Pradesh state gave me a gift, should I not return the same to him”, indicating towards the possibilities of contesting 2019 Assembly Polls in Andhra Pradesh by joining hands with his rivals YS Jaganmohan Reddy of the YSR Congress and Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday, after his party registering a landslide victory in recently concluded state polls, announced to enter national politics.

The new national party is expected to be formed with the consortium of regional parties thus promising a ‘Non-BJP and Non-Congress‘ third front.
