Business Baron, Husband of Congress newly appointed General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and son-in-law of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra on Sunday hinted towards at joining active Politics ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2019. Vadra, who is currently facing a continuous grilling from Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a Facebook post said he should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.

Robert Vadra in facebook post said, ‘All these years of experience and learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use…Once all these accusations and allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.‘ He further said, ‘The years and months that I spent campaigning and working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people and make smaller changes possible by me’.

Vadra’s comment came months after his wife Priyanka Gandhi formally joined Politics and appointed as General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East. Priyanka Gandhi is currently busy in reviving his party in the state after being dropped from BSPSP Alliance.

A day after Robert Vadra hinted at his possible venture into the active politics through his Facebook post, posters welcoming him to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from the Moradabad were seen put up here on Monday. “Robert Vadra Ji, you are welcome to contest the election from the Moradabad Lok Sabha the constituency,” the posters read.

The forty-nine-year-old Vadra, who has been repeatedly questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the recent past in connection with money laundering and land grab cases also accused the government of targeting him to divert the attention from the real issues confronting the country.

Reacting on the development, BJP Leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi take a dig at speculations.

Sandeep Dikshit, Congress on posters saying ‘Robert Vadra ji you are welcome to contest elections from Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency’ seen in Moradabad’ said, ‘ It is up to the workers. Every person expresses himself. Everyone has the freedom to express themselves’.
