Businessman and Brother-in-law of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Robert Vadra on Wednesday amidst buzz about him joining politics said that he will enter the politics until he will not get the ‘clean chit’ in the Money Laundering Cases which are under Investigation by the Enforcement Directorate.

He further said that he will not leave the country and will not travel abroad until his name gets cleared.

Husband of UP East General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Vadra who had earlier hinted to join politics said on Wednesday as quoted by news ANI, ‘‘I’m in this country, there are people who have looted the country and run away, what about them? I’m always going to be in this country, I will not leave or be in active politics till I clear my name, that is my promise

Vadra is currently facing continuous quizzing from the Central Probing Agency in connection with a money laundering case.

Vadra’s latest remarks came days after he in his Facebook post on February 24 hinted towards joining politics. Robert in a Facebook post on February 24 said, “All these years of experience and learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use…Once all these accusations and allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.

He further said, ‘The years and months that I spent campaigning and working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people and make smaller changes possible by me”.

Later on February 28, Vadra again hinted his possible venture in the politics. He further hinted that he may contest the elections from his Hometown Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.

On being asked from which constituency he will contest the elections from, Vadra added as reported by ANI, “I was born in Moradabad and have spent childhood in Uttar Pradesh and I think I understand that area. However, I can stay anywhere and I believe I will be able to understand them.”
