The Apex Court has issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the appeal of former finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram challenging the Delhi High Court order refusing bail to him in INX Media money laundering case. The case will be taken up by the court on November 26.

The Congress leader had moved the Supreme Court and challenged the order of Delhi High Court, that dismissed his bail plea in the INX Media corruption case.

The Enforcement Directorate, on Monday, knocked the doors of Delhi High Court and appealed them to correct error in it’s order on P Chidambaram’s bail plea. The ED pointed out that there was a factual error and referred to a ‘copy-paste’ job done by the High Court, which mentioned records from Rohit Tandon case in it.

Paragraph 16 of the order in the Rohit Tandon case was used in Paragraph 35 of the Chidambaram order.

P Chidambaram was first arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 21 in the INX Media corruption case.
